Reportedly, rebar price has been risen by US$10~US$15/ton on Christmas eve in the gulf region by the domestic mills as a result of growing construction activities during this time when weather is fair in the Middle East. Furthermore, imported rebar has also climbed by US$10~US$15/ton on higher input cost of the Turkish billet when scrap levels have improved, owing to winter production scarcity.
