RHL Announces Its New Robertex Squeezing Roll Is Now Commercially Available Worldwide

United Kingdom-based calender roll manufacturer Richard Hough Ltd. (RHL) announces its new RoberteX squeezing roll is now commercially available worldwide.

According to RHL, the RoberteX is the first fiber-based squeezing system to offer full resistance to harsh chemicals, and it may be used in a number of applications in which the company's Roberto and Resilio rolls are not suitable. Roberto can process loose fibers and yarns, but is limited in its handling of chemicals and resins; while the Resilio rubber squeezing roll offers high water expression with complete chemical resistance, but can be used to process only woven and knitted fabrics.

The RoberteX offers chemical resistance and 20- to 30-percent improved liquid extraction performance compared to that offered by a standard rubber squeezing roll; and it lasts 10 times longer than standard rubber rolls, RHL reports. RoberteX is capable of performing in all aggressive textile processing environments, and is suitable for use in all pH conditions, from harsh caustic to acidic environments. The roll also can help reduce fluid consumption and waste disposal costs, according to RHL.
