Opto Semiconductors has added a new LED to its Oslux family that is specifically designed for camera flash in smartphones, providing white light that illuminates a specified target area. Due to its specially shaped lens that allows it to be discreetly fitted into the device, design compromises for flash applications are eliminated and there is a nice balance of design and function, the company said.
