American wine and spirits company Brown-Forman is set to restructure its Asia Pacific (APAC) area into two new regions, beginning 1 November 2013.
Under the new plan, the company's existing APAC region will be divided into the Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia region (ANZSEA); and the North Asia region (NA).
Brown-Forman Europe/Africa/Asia Pacific/Travel Retail executive vice president Mark McCallum said the Asia Pacific area remains key to Brown-Forman's long-term growth strategy.
"These changes are being made to further strengthen our organizational focus and allocation of resources against our strategic priorities in this vast region."
Michael McShane and Trevor Smith, the company's long-standing executives, will be appointed as managing directors for ANZSEA and NA respectively.
The present managing director of Australia, New Zealand Marshall Farrer will return to the company's headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky later this year.
Brown-Forman's alcohol brands include Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey, Southern Comfort, Finlandia, Jack Daniel's & Cola, Canadian Mist, Korbel, Gentleman Jack, el Jimador, Herradura, Sonoma-Cutrer, Chambord, New Mix, Tuaca, and Woodford Reserve.
The company's brands are supported by about 4,000 employees and sold in nearly 160 countries worldwide.
