Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) is about to launch new iPhone at the end of July or the beginning of August, and a considerable quantity of them will be inexpensive, according to a senior analyst with Taiwan-based DIGITIMES Research.
The fact that Apple will launch far more inexpensive iPhone in July or August than in each month in the first half of the year will be a key factor that helps increase the operating revenue of Pegatron Corporation and Foxconn Technology Group and causes the two companies to employ more workers.
Pegatron has clearly stated that it will begin to increase employees at the end of June. The company's mainland-based plants now have about 100,000 employees, and the figure is reckoned to increase 30%-40% in the second half of 2013.
According to a report issued by KGI Group before, Apple will deliver 75% orders of inexpensive FDD-version iPhone and over a half of the orders of iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S to Pegatron to diversify suppliers. Seen from the current news, Pegatron has obtained more orders than what was expected.
The analyze said that new iPad will also be put into mass production and shipped in the fourth quarter, and the orders will be shared by Pegatron and Foxconn, therefore the operating revenue and employees needed will be spurred to increase.
