German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the 2013 CLS Shooting Brake Coupe prior to its debut at Paris Motor Show in September 2012.
According to the carmaker, the new coupe is offered in four different engine options, which include two diesel engines and two petrol engines mated to a 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission as well as the ECO start/stop function.
Additionally, Mercedes is offering two models with all-wheel drive option, which include the CLS 350 CDI 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY and the CLS 500 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY.
The basic model is the CLS 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY, which produces anouput of 204 hp and consumes 5.3 litres of diesel per 100km while emitting 139g of CO2/km.
The 2013 CLS Shooting Brake's next two six-cylinder models are the CLS 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY, which generates 265hp output and CLS 350 BlueEFFICIENCY, generating an output of 306hp.
German carmaker said that the top model, CLS 500 BlueEFFICIENCY, will be powered by a V8 biturbo engine which generates an output of 408hp.
The base model offers a top speed of 235kmph, while the top CLS 500 model speeds at a rate of 250kmph.
As part of driving assistance package Plus, the safety features offered with the new model include active blind spot assist and active lane keeping assist together with Distronic Plus, Bas Plus and the Pre-Safe Brake systems.
