General Motors (GM) and its joint ventures (JVs) in China reported a 9.7% increase in November 2012 sales to 260,018 vehicles, compared to the same period in 2011.
Shanghai GM vehicle sales rose 21% to 136,444 vehicles in November 2012 and FAW-GM's sales grew 4.2% to 4,837 units.
SAIC-GM-Wuling's domestic sales decreased 0.5% to 118,536 units in November 2012, compared to the same period last year.
For the first 11 months of 2012, GM's sales rose 10.4% to 2,593,642 units and in 2011, the company sold 2,547,171 vehicles in China.
Shanghai GM, a joint venture between General Motors Company and SAIC Motor, is targeting to sell about 1.45 million vehicles in 2013.
Recently, GM and its Chinese JV partners had revealed plans construct a third manufacturing facility in Chongqing Municipality.
