Cellocator has launched an integrated Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS) /GPS solution for the service providers in the automotive market of Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The solution consists of the comapny's compact unit and an external active GLONASS/GPS antenna, providing small device solution with benefits of easy installation, and improved positioning accuracy.
Cellocator general manager Israel Ronn said compact GLONASS signifies the need in the Russian market to equip every vehicle with a GLONASS compatible receiver.
"We will continue to encourage our customers to approach us in any market specific requirement," Ronn said.
Russia's GLONASS, which consists of 24 operating satellites so far with a total of 31 satellites in orbit, has reached global coverage and is now supported by its government for commercial use.
