The Institute for Information Industry Led 28 Taiwanese Firms

Taipei,Sept.17,2012(CENS)--To assist Taiwanese information and communication technology(ICT)industry to tap the market in eastern China,the institute for information industry(III),Taiwan's semi-official IT industry think tank,recently led 28 Taiwanese firms to take part in the 8th China(Nanjing)International Software Product and Information Service Expo(8th CIS).


To show the best side of Taiwan's ICT products and the innovations,the organizers invited Taiwan's III to assist in organizing the Taiwan Pavilion.Taiwan's exhibitors promoted ICT products via"experiential marketing,"displaying Taiwan's latest software and hardware applications.


To increase business opportunities between Taiwan's exhibitors and Chinese operators,Taiwan's III and Nanjing City Government jointly held a"supplier and buyer matchmaking event",held in the headquarters of Suning Appliance Co.,Ltd.,a leading electric appliance retailer in China,which was presided over by Q.Lo,deputy mayor of Nanjing City and W.M.Sun,vice president of Suning Appliance.


Suning Appliance inked a purchasing contract of renminbi(RMB)1.2 billion or about NT$5.6 billion(US$186.66 million)with Taiwanese companies including Acer Inc.and Asustek Computer Inc.


In addition to Acer and Asustek,other Taiwanese companies that attended the exposition included Optoma Corp.,Optronics Co.,Ltd.,Inventec Corporation,and AimCulture Co.,Ltd.
