China-based PV makers recorded total export value of US$16.2 billion in 2014, with Japan accounting for 28% of the value, Europe 16%, the US 12%, India 3% and South Korea 2%, according to China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electric Products (CCCME).
The seven largest China-based producers, including JA Solar Holdings, Trina Solar, CSI and Jinko Solar, together exported 18.421GWp of PV products in 2014
For crystalline silicon solar cells and PV modules made using these, China-based makers posted total export value of US$14.4 billion in 2014, growing 17.27% on year. Of the total export value, US$7.855 billion or 54.5% came from Asia, increasing 42.73% on year, and US$2.708 billion or 18.8% from Europe, decreasing 15.92%.
China's total solar cells and PV modules export in January-February 2015 grew 15% on year to US$2.601 billion, and 2015 is expected see an increase of over 10% to US$16.0 billion.
