MCC Has Entered Into an Agreement to Acquire 100% of Flexo Print for an Undisclosed Value

US-based Multi-Color (MCC) has entered into an agreement to acquire 100% of Mexican labels producer Flexo Print for an undisclosed value.

MCC president and CEO Nigel Vinecombe said the acquisition offers growth opportunities to the company in Mexico.

"We look forward to working with the Flexo Print team to continue to expand the Multi-Color group into Latin America. The business will change its name to Multi-Color Corporation (Mexico)," Vinecombe added.

Following the transaction, Flexo Print's portfolio includes shrink sleeves and pouches.

During the three months ended 30 June 2013, MCC also expanded its global leadership position in wine labels by completing acquisitions in Australia and France, which are expected to add about $10m in annual revenues.

MCC acquired Labelmakers Wine Division in Adelaide, Australia and consolidated the operations for this acquisition into its Adelaide during the quarter.

In the Champagne region of France, the company acquired Imprimerie Champenoise, which complements its existing French operations in Burgundy and increases its ability to support local champagne producers in the region.

Flexo Print, which produces home & personal care, food & beverage, wine & spirit and pharmaceutical labels in Latin America, has annual revenues of about $30m.
