New Children's Product Review Community Launches for Toy and Game Industries

New children's product review community launches for toy and game industries.

Toytesters.tv, a new children's product review community, has been launched.

Set up by Gemma Gallagher following her win in a Dragons' Den-style competition, central to the brand is a consumer facing website that enables children to be toy testers.

Those chosen will take part in product testing, video reviews, market research and interviews.

Children can also join a club where they can earn currency for taking part in various activities on the website. Toys that are tested will be published and those that rate high enough in the eyes of the children will earn bronze, silver or gold medals that can be used on product packaging and marketing materials.

The company will be working closely with children's TV present Nigel Clarke, who will present the content together with Toy Testers.

"We're really pleased to be bringing such an important marketing and research tool to the toy and game industries," said Gallagher. "It's crucial that children provide feedback on products intended or them and that they play a significant role in the development process.

"Children provide invaluable insight into products, such as what can be improved, what should come next in the range and what they like best, enabling brands to focus on the parts that children love, therefore improving the chances of success in the marketplace.

"To have the kudos of passing the children's 'toy test' and seal of approval from the target audience is an important achievement for any product. We're almost ready to release some other top secret projects, which we'll be announcing in the next few weeks."
