Xylem Inc has secured a US$2.9 million contract from the Beijing Drainage Group (BDG) to install Flygt pumps in 19 pumping stations in downtown Beijing, China. The new Flygt submersible centrifugal sewage pumps will improve the stations’ water storage capability and prevent overflow. “We are proud to have been chosen to be part of this meaningful project with the BDG,” said Shuping Lu, vice president and country director for Xylem China. BDG is a wholly state-owned wastewater utility established with the approval of the Beijing Municipal Government.
