South Korean beverages producer Lotte Liquor has selected lightweight, tamper evident AS-Lok mini 28mm closures from Closure Systems International (CSI) for its Soju line of liquors.
The new one-piece linerless AS-Lok mini closure is suitable for liquor and other non-carbonated beverages including aseptically-filled beverages.
Lotte Soju is available in 600ml as well as 1.8l PET bottles and offers several varieties of Soju.
CSI's closure system is environmentally friendly and cost efficient and has been designed for PET 1881 short-height bottle finishes especially.
Raw material reductions in the bottle finish and also the closure are said to have yielded considerable environmental and economic sustainability benefits.
CSI has worked with Lotte to ensure that the conversion to short height closures was trouble-free.
