Big Bottom Distilling has released three new aged vodkas under Oregon Starka Project, result of collaborative effort between three Oregon distillers.
Starka is a traditional aged vodka that dates back to the 15th century in Russia.
Initiated in 2014, the project is a collaborative effort of three Oregon distillers; Big Bottom Distilling, Bull Run Distilling and Indio Spirits and Distillery.
The participating Oregon distillers came together under the Oregon Starka Project named after an old Russian custom. Each distiller has created an exclusive variation of Starka by choosing specific barrels that are distinct to the producer.
Big Bottom Distilling Owner Ted Pappas said: "Oregon distillers don't see each other as competition.
"There's a real sense of support amongst each other and each other's products. It's about promoting 'Brand Oregon'".
