In a groundbreaking move for Gulf Oil LP, the fastest growing branded marketer of energy products in the U.S., the company today announced the continued expansion and diversification of its energy offerings through its entry into the commercial and industrial fuel supply business.
"We are very excited to be entering the Commercial and Industrial fuel supply market. We see a tremendous opportunity to reliably deliver companies the high-quality products they require at fair prices that will help them meet their business and operational needs"
Gulf's move to supply fuel directly to commercial and industrial businesses is supported by its nationwide infrastructure, including 12 proprietary terminals and over 130 other fuel supply points, commitment to fair and competitive pricing, excellent delivery logistics, and a proven track record of excellence in customer service. The company currently has Gulf Oil branded fuel operations in 30 states across the country.
"We are very excited to be entering the Commercial and Industrial fuel supply market. We see a tremendous opportunity to reliably deliver companies the high-quality products they require at fair prices that will help them meet their business and operational needs," said Ron Sabia, President of Gulf Oil LP. "As a national energy company, this new offering is a natural progression for us, and is part of the ongoing diversification and expansion of our already significant portfolio."
The day-to day-operations of the new Commercial and Industrial business will be led by industry veteran Douglas Moore, who is joining Gulf Oil LP from Hess Corporation, where he most recently served as nationwide manager of motor fuels and energy marketing. Moore's 25-year career with Hess includes growing and managing what became one of the largest commercial and industrial fuel supply operations in the nation.
"Gulf is uniquely positioned to become a leader in this market, and Doug Moore, with his deep background and experience and relationships in commercial and industrial fuel supply, is a terrific addition to our senior staff," said Walter F. Brickowski, Senior Vice president of Unbranded Marketing for Gulf Oil. "We are truly hitting the ground running thanks to our very talented team, our national infrastructure, our ability to deliver competitive pricing and our unparalleled customer service."
Other recent Gulf Oil moves have included launching Gulf Electricity to provide consumers with electricity at reduced rates, and converting a significant portion of its trucking fleet to LNG.
