Setting new records for participation, this year's Autumn edition of the Yarn Expo welcomes over 100 exhibitors, representing an increase of 80% compared with the previous year, out of which 52 are overseas companies, marking a 160% increase.
Exhibitors have come from 11 countries and regions around the world, including Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Pakistan, Singapore, Switzerland, Thailand and Vietnam, presenting a variety of high-count yarns and fibres, all on 3,000 sqm of exhibition space in Hall E6.
As part of the show, the Nylon Zone Autumn Edition hosts ten nylon manufacturers, as arranged by the China Chemical Fiber Association Nylon Committee and Developing Center of Chemical Fiber Textiles Products. Suppliers here will be showcasing their most innovative and advanced product lines for buyers.
Also featured at this year's fair are an India Pavilion, with 28 exhibitors displaying their latest ranges of cotton yarn fibers, and a Pakistan Zone, offering high quality and competitively priced yarns.
Mr. N Ravindranathan, from The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council – organiser of the India Pavilion – believes that their participation is an important step to building business in the Chinese domestic market. He says, "Many prominent importers meet with Indian suppliers at the Yarn Expo, and later will visit factories of Indian suppliers to understand supply capabilities before finalizing orders."
Mr. Arshad Mian, Marketing Manager for Opulent International, which is a group of exporters from Pakistan, is also optimistic about the domestic market: "Although China is a huge fabric producer, we are lucky enough to sell our yarns there in large quantities. This show is a great place to meet all our customers at one place – it provides one platform where we can meet all the people coming across from China, and from Europe as well."
Visitors and exhibitors alike can benefit from three additional events taking place in the same venue, which provides business synergy and a chance to make new contacts. The most prominent of these events, Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics 2012, covers Halls W1 to W5, N1 to N3 and E1 to E5 – the single largest apparel fabrics event in the world. Also at the same time, Cinte Techtextil China will be taking place in Halls N4 to N5, where you will find technical textiles and related products, while the China International Knitting Trade Fair takes place in Halls E6 to E7.
