According to data released by the Mexican steel chamber (Canacero), Turkey’s steel consumption totaled 7.88 million tons in the first four months of this year, falling by 6.2% year on year.
In the given period of time, the country’s steel production totaled 5.99 million tons, down slightly from 5.99 million tons in the same period of 2012.
In April alone, the country’s steel consumption was at 1.9 million tons, increasing by 9.3% from a month ago.
