Samsung Galaxy S6 Will Be Available in Five Different Colours at Launch

The Samsung Galaxy S6 will be available in five different colours at launch, the Korean manufacturer has confirmed.

With the handset having taking its official bow at MWC 2015 today, March 1, it has been revealed the flagship phone will be offered up a new collection of tones.

Giving flagship phone hunters some choice in what hued handset adorns the next being for the next 12 to 24 months, the traditional black and white offerings are further enhanced by a trio of more vibrant options, namely gold, blue and green.

Of course, being a market-leading handset, these aren’t just ordinary colours, oh no.

The four official Galaxy S6 colours already announced are ‘White Pearl’, ‘Black Sapphire’, ‘Gold Platinum’, 'Blue Topaz' and ‘Green Emerald’.

The colour options are just one element of a dramatically reworked Galaxy S6 design which has seen Samsung pair a metal frame with a glass rear for an overall high-end look and finish.

Beneath the surface things are all change too. Having moved to a 5.1-inch QHD display with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, the S6 adds a 64-bit Exynos 7420 processor to the mix.

As with the Galaxy S6, five S6 Edge colours will also be available. The innovative S6 Edge, which features a three sided display, will be offered in the same collection of paint jobs from day one.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 release date has been confirmed for April 10, with the handset to go on sale alongside the Edge.
