UK-based Endoline has installed a new 221 Case Erector at Oakland’s Farm Eggs, which fed boxes into the Moba CP 12 case packer though a conveyor system.
The case erector features a dual opposing vacuum case opening ensuring each case is opened positively from both sides and assisted the egg producer in packing over 1.4 million eggs per day.
According to the company, the boxes formed were transported along a conveyor system as a pair to the CP12 to pack the eggs at an hourly rate of 960 boxes.
The company said it has joined forces with the global solutions provider of egg grading, packing and processing equipment Moba to create the new packaging line.
Moba product manager Paul Buisman said the Endoline equipment delivers to a specification offering ease of use when integrated into an egg production line alongside the company's grading machines.
"Egg handling plants can operate up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with very high throughput volumes so robust and reliable machinery is paramount to this industry," Buisman added.
