Lamborghini has unveiled Asterion LPI 910-4, making it the first ever plug-in hybrid created by the car maker.
The car is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 gas engine with three electric motors capable of producing up to 610 horsepower.
The electric motors are capable of producing an additional 300 horsepower; so the car can go from 0-60mph in three seconds.
Inside, the car features titanium accents on the steering wheel. Drivers can choose amongst full electric, Termico" thermal, or "Ibrido" or hybrid operating modes.
Green Car Congress reported Automobili Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann saying: "In the Asterion this is guaranteed through a naturally aspirated engine that is combined with PHEV technology, which not only offers exceptionally low CO2 emissions of 98 g/km.
"But a practical pure electric driving range of 50 km. The Asterion LPI 910-4 is a true Lamborghini: emotional, with a stunning design, powerful, yet conceived more for comfortable luxury daily cruising than for ultimate track performance."
