Ahmed Zigail, the chief executive of Saudi-based Najran Cement Co has said the volume of cement production in the kingdom is expected to touch 56 million tonnes in 2013, when demand is set for 60 million tonnes compared to the production level of 48 million tonnes in 2011, Arab News has reported. Saudi Arabia, which has embarked on a $400bn mega infrastructure plan, needs to double cement production capacities to meet its construction projects, Zigail said. Source: uaecement
