Mendor, a Finland-based diabetes technology firm, has received CE Mark clearance for its diabetes management cloud-based platform, Mendor Balance.
Delivering benefits to patients, health care professionals, payers and the pharma industry, Mendor Balance helps in sharing the blood glucose monitoring results of the patients with their caregiver from most glucose meters.
Besides, it also offers a set of tools to handle patients, with a future series of real-life decision support protocols.
Mendor Endocrinologist and the Medical Director Antti Virkamki said that this is the first CE marked meter agnostic platform in EU for storing and sharing blood glucose data.
"CE mark for Mendor Balance is an important step towards scalable and automated blood glucose analysis and decision support system, which are necessary features for blood glucose profiling and treatment individualization," Virkamki added.
Mendor CEO and co-founder Kristian Ranta said, "Balance is an integral part of the future vision of Mendor in revolutionizing diabetes treatment with better glucose monitoring and data analysis."
The company is currently performing a number of patient trials to validate the tools for blood glucose profiling and to fine-tune the platform for real-life clinical practice.
