Linx Printing Installs CIJ Printers for Israel's Tnuva to Print Yogurt Pots

Linx Printing Technologies has installed two Linx 7900 continuous ink jet (CIJ) printers at Israeli dairy company Tnuva Eilon Tavor’s production site to print yogurt pots.

Featuring head traversing units, the two printers work in conjunction with an Erca Form Fill Seal machine providing two lines of code. The printers are designed to print 40,000 yogurt pots every hour.

The recently-installed printers, which are designed for lowest possible running costs, complement Tnuva’s more than 100 Linx existing machines that are currently operational at its sites in Israel.

The installation of Linx printers is part of Tnuva’s efforts to renew existing coders.

Tnuva spokesperson said: “We have enjoyed a successful partnership with IPE and Linx for 14 years.

“The latest 7900 continues the excellent service we have received during this time, with proven reliability and consistent performance, which results in fewer unplanned line stoppages.”

Capable of running for up to 9,000 hours or 18 months between services, the Linx 7900 feature adjusted service intervals allowing customers to pay only for vital maintenance.

Additional features of the printer include advanced QuickSwitch software, which allows for fast, time-saving changeovers between products or messages with simple automated set-up, as well as the SureFill system to ensure mistake-proof refills.

The printer's PrintSync also allows automatic print format selection, using the line speed to provide the best possible print quality, the company said.
