With digital and mobile trade on the rise, business-to-business organizations are increasingly adopting secure, commerce portals designed to give customers a personalized shopping experience.
AmeriPride Services, a leading textile services company, is one example of a brand listening to its customers and offering new ways to interact. The company is implementing the InsiteCommerce platform from Insite Software, as the foundation for its new Web store.
AmeriPride has more than 150,000 customers – each with its own requirements for garment styles, graphics and text. Expanding on its history of strong face-to-face customer interaction, AmeriPride wanted to improve in the digital sphere to continue as a premium, commercial service provider. The Web Store is designed to allow customers to shop for products online. It offers improved functionality for product search, filters and customization, and enables customers to manage their spending through individual employee purchasing allowances.
The InsiteCommerce platform spans two core commerce sites – the customer Web store and individual company Web stores (custom eStores). This provides customers with the ability to purchase, track, and customize garments to their needs, with logos and text through a custom-built decorator tool.
With the custom eStores, AmeriPride can easily build unique microsites for each individual customer, allowing companies to better manage linen or uniform program ordering and spending. In addition, it gives the option to allow employees to order specific, approved products. Using the Insite Software platform for eStores allows AmeriPride to keep all the design and eCommerce functionality in-house, rather than using a third-party service.
“These projects further differentiate ourselves from the competition and enhance our leadership in the industry through technology,” said Andrew Steiner, vice president of marketing and customer operations, AmeriPride. “Our goal is to enhance customer service by providing a simple, convenient and fast ordering process resulting in a delightful customer experience.”
The InsiteCommerce platform is designed to meet the enterprise-level needs of manufacturers, distributors and retailers with industry-specific B2B workflows. It ensures the delivery of a superior customer experience across any device. It supports rapid deployment (90 days) and has standard integrations with common ERP and CRM systems.
“Together we were able to find a cost-effective solution that solved a key business problem,” said Linda Taddonio, co-founder and eCommerce strategy officer, Insite Software. “Insite Software understands the need for the rapid deployment of meaningful technology, and the value that it continually brings to customers.”
AmeriPride plans to roll out additional functions, including a portal to manage customer relationships, and enable customers to view and pay bills online, access program details, and communicate with the AmeriPride service team.
