Shipping costs declined 2.7% in May compared to April, according to the latest Canadian General Freight Index.
The base rate was down 2.5% compared to March, declining to November levels, Nulogx reports.
Average fuel surcharges declined from 21.34% of the base rate in April to 20.26% in May.
“The increases from November to March have all been erased,” said Doug Payne, president and COO, Nulogx. “Total costs are now 1.2% below a year ago.”
