As of 1 April 2013 Soundking Group Europe is reinstating its UK distribution of its Studiomaster and Carlsbro brands from its Luton HQ.
In a joint statement, Soundking Group Europe and current distributor John Hornby Skewes & Co Ltd. announce that distribution for both ranges will move back to being handled directly, with operations managed from Soundking Group's UK headquarters. There will be a brief hiatus between Friday 15 March 2013, when JHS ceases to ship product, and Monday 1 April, when stock will be available directly from Soundking Group's warehousing.
Dennis Drumm, JHS' managing director said, "It's been an enjoyable challenge to be involved in re-establishing an iconic brand of amps like Carlsbro in its home market and of course Studiomaster is a wonderful product. We will be sorry to see them both go, but understand that the brand owners wish to pursue their own commercial paths. We wish Paul Brewis and his team much success in continuing JHS' good work with the brands."
Paul Brewis, Carlsbro and Studiomaster international sales, marketing and business development director said of the move, "We would like to express our sincere thanks to Dennis and his team for their support of the brands over the last 12 months, however, we are in challenging times and at the start of our own 'new beginning', and feel it appropriate, as Dennis correctly points out, that we pursue our own commercial path.
