Ashland Performance Materials is all set to expand its adhesive range for specialty tapes applications with the addition of the new UV-curable hot melt pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA), Arocure 100-percent solids.
Arocure, which can be melted and applied at elevated temperatures (>100oC), offers a better way to create thicker adhesive film for specialty tape applications.
Ashland packaging and converting adhesives and coatings global director David Hatgas said UV-curable PSAs have been an area of interests in the adhesives industry.
"By adding the Arocure 100-percent solids UV-curable hot melt PSAs to our product offering, we have greatly expanded the technical capabilities for our customers and provided them with greater range of solutions for their business," Hatgas said.
According to the US-based pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) technology provider, the film is cured by exposing to UV radiation. The curing provides higher coating line speeds and helps to enhance productivity.
