Organizers of the seventh international Energy Forum on Solar Building Skins, which is scheduled to take place December 6-7 in Bressanone, Italy, have announced a list of event topics.
This year's topics include adaptive building skins, evolving solar technologies, strategies for optimizing semi-transparent PV (performance and cost considerations) and solar retrofitting. The event will also cover holistic concepts for solar buildings, enhanced daylighting and shading, natural ventilation and thermal behavior of the building envelope and models, tools and simulations for solar buildings.
The goal of the conference is to reduce energy consumption while improving the comfort of the building's occupants through multidisciplinary and integrated planning among architects, engineers, scientists and energy managers and manufacturers.
