Packline Materials Handling Has Launched New 'rotating Cradle Arms' Lifting Attachment

Packline Materials Handling has launched new ‘rotating cradle arms’ lifting attachment, which enables rolls of material, handled by the roll’s internal mandrel, to be lowered in to a shrink-wrap machine.

The company noted that new and bespoke lifting solution is ideal for clean room environments, for example in the food industry, where rolls of film need to be lowered into shrink-wrap machines and the lifting attachment easily rotated out from the machinery.

The rotating cradle arms allow the roll of film or foil to be lowered into place.

A hand-wheel allows the operator to rotate the arms out of the way and then raise them out, and away from the machinery. The lifting and lowering of the 'rotating arms attachment' is operated by push buttons mounted to the lifter. The rotation of the cradle arms themselves is operated by an easy to use hand-wheel and gearbox.

The new rotating cradle arms' safe working load is 100kg, while the attachment mass is 27kg. Higher and lower load capacities are possible depending on the roll's size and weight.

According to the company, the roll handling equipment with rotating cradle arms is the ideal solution to increase efficiency and improve health and safety conditions.
