India Is to Make Decision of Giving Posco Preferential Access to an Iron Ore Mine

India’s federal government is to make decision of giving Posco preferential access to an iron ore mine for the US$12-billion steel project in the country.

It the decision was made positively, the troubled project would have a boost. Actually the South Korean steelmaker has waiting for 8 years to get necessary clearances, land and an iron ore mining license. The world’s fourth largest steelmaker’s project is planned with 12-MTPA capacity, which is one of the several projects in Odisha facing protests and delays.
