Ukrainian steel pipe and railway wheel producer Interpipe has announced its financial results for 2012 according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
In 2012, Interpipe recorded a net loss of $72 million compared to a net profit of $41 million in 2011. In 2012, Interpipe's sales revenues increased by six percent year on year to $1.77 billion, driven by higher sales volumes of finished steel products.
Interpipe's EBITDA for 2012 increased to $305 million from $253 million in 2011, providing a margin of 17 percent in 2012.
In 2012, total pipe sales increased by 12 percent to 1.022 million mt, while total wheel sales rose by 24 percent to 211,000 mt, both year on year.
