Taly-Based Sacmi Group Says Sales Increased From €1bn in 2010 to €1.4bn in 2011

Taly-based Sacmi Group says sales increased from € 1bn in 2010 to € 1.4bn in 2011, as profitability returned for the plastic injection moulding machine business. Profits increased to € 32.4m from € 12m. The company says the reorganisation of the subsidiary Negri Bossi helped renew its product range, which in turn led to a return to profitability in sales of injection moulding machinery after what Sacmi describes as several long, difficult years. Growth was also strong in the packaging machine sector, where sales increased 10%. “With a clear strategy, a global presence and careful attention to both product and customer, growth can be achieved even in harsh economic times”, Pietro Cassani, managing director of the Sacmi Group, said in a statement. In terms of region, growth was particularly strong in the Bric countries (Brazil, Russia, China and India) but Italy remains the group’s third-largest market. Source: europeanplasticsnews.com
