Sidel Was Awarded a Contract by Moha Soft Drinks for Another Turnkey Bottling Line

Sidel, a provider of liquid packaging solutions, was awarded a contract by Moha Soft Drinks for another turnkey bottling line in Ethiopia.

The contract calls for a turnkey project to install the entire production line for Moha's new greenfield plant located in Mekele.

The project will be executed in mid 2014 and will include all auxiliary services, such as CO2 production, steam, syrup room, generator, water treatment plant and piping.

According to Moha, the new bottling equipment would enable the company to meet the increasing demand for carbonated soft drinks (CSD) and water in the nation.

The new line will be able to produce carbonated soft drinks at a rate of 36,000 returnable glass bottles per hour, said the company.

Sidel Zone vice president for Greater Middle East and Africa Clive Smith said, "We are also very much looking forward to renewing acquaintances with Managing Director, Mr. Getachew Birbo and his team on this new project - which I am sure will be yet another successful Sidel collaboration with a leading beverage producer."

Moha CEO Getachew Birbo said the company is aiming to complete the turnkey bottling line project successfully.

"Furthermore, we at Moha believe that the newly reorganized office in Dubai opens its doors at a time when closer cooperation between our companies was highly required to support this project," Birbo added.
