Rumors are circulating in Taiwan-based supply chains that production of the camera lens modules for iPhone 5S and 5C reportedly has been marred by low yield rates. Only Largan Precision has been able to achieve above-average yield rates, while other suppliers are still working on improving their yield rates.
Meanwhile, Largan said it expects its September consolidated revenues to grow sequentially and third-quarter ASP (average selling price) to rise, judging from the orders received.
Genius Electronic Optical, another Taiwan-based maker, has reportedly landed lens module orders for the iPhone 5C camera, but the company declined to comment.
