Aon, the UK's largest insurance broker and provider of risk management services, has selected Azzurri Communications to help manage its telecommunications services.
The firm will use Azzurri's Intelligent Telecoms Expense Management (Item) to centralise management of its multiple telecommunications providers.

Previously, Aon was independently managing its telecommunications setup and bill management, dealing with multiple suppliers and taking away from the core of Aon's broker and risk services.
Aon's two-year deal with Azzurri follows a successful one-year trial period which was deemed a success by both parties, with the broker experiencing two major benefits as a result of the arrangement.
The first is ease of access to call information, provided by Item, which consolidates data from multiple streams into one centralised reporting tool, allowing Aon to easily analyse it for better use.
Azzurri has also taken over the supplier management aspect of telephony policy, with Azzurri now dealing with multiple vendors on behalf of Aon.
"The Azzurri Item service provides Aon with an incredible amount of management information – which allows it to ensure the correct levels of recharges are made to the individual business units, as well as accurately forecasting telecoms expenditure," said Rufus Grig, CTO at Azzurri Communications.
"With Azzurri taking care of the labour-intensive bill resolution issues, the Aon team can concentrate on doing its core job – delivering first-class network management to effectively support the business," Grig added.
Azzurri Communications signed a deal to provide MDM support for Biffa earlier this year, with the waste management firm's IT director, David Gooding, recently telling Computing how the agreement has benefited the company.
