Five companies participating in Home Textiles Market Week in New York City were named recipients of Home Textiles Best New Product Awards, with Couture Dreams receiving the “Best of Market” award for its Chichi Throw.
All of the honorees are eligible for a first-ever “Best of HOME” Award, which will be determined by online balloting during NY NOW, the Market for Home & Lifestyle (formerly NYIGF).
In addition to the overall “Best of Market” distinction, Best New Product Awards are presented semi-annually in four categories: Bed, Bath, Dining and Home Accessories. A panel of trade and consumer editors select winners and finalists based on criteria including innovation in design, creative use of materials/construction and new fiber, material or technology.
“This market brought an influx of new looks in home textiles,” said Danielle Giacoponello, Home Furnishings + Textiles sales manager. “Our judges discovered several which truly impressed with their fashion-forward blend of design and function.”
The panel of judges included: Duke Ratliff, HFN; Jenny Heinzen York, Home Accents Today; Laura van Zeyl and Nancy Robinson, Home Fashion Forecast; Jennifer Marks, Home Textiles Today; and Wanda Jankowski, LDB Interior Textiles.
Presented as part of NY NOW’s HOME Collection, Home Furnishings + Textiles features 200+ suppliers of mid-to-high-end bed and bath fashions, such as table linens, kitchen textiles, towels, decorative accessories, area rugs, window treatments and decorative fabrics. NY NOW’s four comprehensive collections – HOME, LIFESTYLE, HANDMADE and NEW! – will encompass 100,000 products in 400+ product categories. Some 35,000 attendees from all 50 states and more than 80 countries worldwide are expected.
New York Home Textiles Market Week offers buyers access to nearly 600 better bed, bath, linen and home products vendors at the NY NOW (located at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Pier 94), 230 Fifth Avenue, and 7 West 34th Street. Products represented at each of these venues include bed and bath fashions, table linens, kitchen textiles, towels, decorative accessories, area rugs, window treatments and decorative fabrics.
