The Tire Industry Association (TIA) and the Western Canada Tire Dealers Association (WCTDA) will present a three-day commercial tire service (CTS) 400 level instructor training and certification class in Edmonton, Alberta, May 6-8, 2014.
The class will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day
TIA says the Certified CTS Instructor Program exceeds the minimum training requirements established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). It includes all aspects of truck tire and wheel service including OSHA regulations, mounting/demounting/inflation, torque, puncture repair, balancing and road service.
The program is a train-the-trainer model that combines classroom and hands-on demonstrations, giving the students the tools and knowledge they will need to impart that information on their tire service technicians.
