Strong performance and growing customer interest have prompted Rockler Woodworking and Hardware to move and expand its Maplewood location. The new location, right across the street, will serve as a flagship store for the company and will become the largest Rockler store in the nation, measuring at over 10,000 square feet. The new location is set to open on Saturday, August 24th.
New Location: 1870 Beam Avenue, Maplewood, MN
Right across the street in the old Hirschfield’s location.
According to Rockler Vice President & General Manger of Retail, Mike Dugan, “Home woodworking, both basic and advanced, is enjoying a resurgence. People are tackling more home improvement projects themselves and are discovering that, with a little guidance, they are actually very talented.”
This new location was developed in coordination with both customers and associates will feature expanded product selections in various categories including turning, power tools, finishing, and hardware. The real highlight will be a large, glass enclosed demonstration area in the middle of the store. “We hope to create an environment where both the beginner and the advanced woodworker will feel comfortable; whether they are starting or completing their project. Woodworking can be intimidating, and our top priority is to ensure the customers that visit us have the tools necessary to complete their job -- and a large part of that is skill development. We feel the workshop gives us that ability,” says Dugan.
“We invite everyone to come in and see firsthand the incredible improvements this new location offers. If you’ve never been to Rockler, now’s a great time to experience it for the first time” says Retail Merchandising Director, Glenn Snyder.
