The Value of Indonesia's Steel Imports Decreased by 4.3 Percent

According to the data announced by Statistics Indonesia (BPS), in October this year the value of Indonesia's steel imports decreased by 4.3 percent compared to the previous month, amounting to $698.6 million, while the country's import value for articles of iron and steel rose 8.53 percent month on month to $388 million.

In the first 10 months of this year, Indonesia's steel import value came to $8.26 billion, falling four percent compared to the same period of the previous year, while the country's import value for articles of iron and steel amounted to $4.04 billion, up 2.47 percent year on year.
