JDA Software Group, Inc., announced that Shoppers Stop, India’s largest department store chain, purchased additional licenses of JDA Allocation in the third quarter of 2013 to further strengthen the execution of its assortment strategies, achieve optimized store-specific size availability, and drive improved sales and customer satisfaction.

The purchase of additional licenses by the retailer comes in the wake of the marked improvements it experienced in assortment and allocation efficiencies after going live with JDA Allocation in 2013. The solution streamlined the existing replenishment methodology at Shoppers Stop by introducing an intelligent replenishment system, which accurately assessed the ability of a store to sell the products before stocking the inventory levels. It also enabled the retailer to efficiently target the optimal mix of products for each store and provided a quicker, more efficient process for creating and executing its allocation plans.
With Shoppers Stop looking to expand its footprint across more locations, it added licenses of JDA Allocation to adequately support its growth initiatives.
