UK-based manufacturer of green packaging products Biopac has announced the introduction of its new 100% compostable double wall version cup for the catering industry, expanding its ‘I’m a green cup’ family.
Made from certified Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) board with a starch based compostable lining, the cup is available in 8oz, 12oz and 16oz sizes and has been launched following the success of the company's single wall 'I'm a green cup' in February 2012.
With the help of the bold printed, standard graphics on the compostable hot cups, caterers can convey a clear message to their customers about their commitment to the environment.
Packed 500 cups per carton, the cups are suitable for coffee outlets, festivals and outdoor events, as well as general foodservice and are compliant with EN13432 - The European norm for compostability.
Biopac also offers bespoke design service, as part of which companies can have their logo printed on the cups in up to five colors.
