Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless (NSSC), the largest stainless steel producer in Japan announced to remain its domestic prices for stainless cold rolled coils (CRC) and plates unchanged for August contracts.
Also, the company has kept its prices for austenitic CRC and plates unchanged for consecutive five months since this April.
It’s known that NSSC cut its alloy surcharges by ¥1,000/ton for August as the average nickel prices had dropped by US$0.25/lb. in July. However, it hiked the base prices by ¥1,000/ton for August.
Accordingly, its domestic prices for stainless CRC and plates remained unchanged for August.
