Peel Ports Invests GBP 3 Million to Upgrade Its Steel Terminal

Peel Ports in the UK has announced that it is investing GBP 3 million to upgrade its steel terminal at the Port of Liverpool a strategic move by the operator to get ahead of its competitors with steel storage and distribution.

Mr Gary Hodgson MD of Peel Ports said that "This is a particularly exciting investment for Peel Ports because it puts us at the leading edge of steel storage and distribution."

He added that "No other port in the UK is currently able to offer a comparable service."

The improved facility will boast latest generation CareGo warehouse optimisation and crane automation technology, courtesy of Canadian supply chain expert, CareGo.

A fully automated warehouse and interactive customer web portal will mean that customers will have round the clock access to their orders, including order tracking, real time stock availability, precision coil selection and a vehicle booking system bringing everything together in one place.
