The i360 Sight camera by Imarda is claimed to be the first all-in-one, windscreen mounted HD camera and fleet tracking system.
Imarda saw a need for a forward-facing HD camera that will help businesses prove compliance, ensure duty of care and reduce the costs involved with incidents and insurance.
“Consumer-grade cameras that are being sold internationally are not fit for purpose, and additionally, videos can be ‘lost’ or ‘tampered with if they are stored solely on the camera,” said Imarda’s head of sales Greg Howard.
“With duty-of-care responsibilities being imposed, users require a reliable, fully integrated system,” said Howard.
The i360 Sight uses a V1000 3G forward-facing, HD camera as both a vision recorder and a fleet management recording box, with event-based incidents sent directly to Imarda’s i360 cloud platform. Developed to automotive grade standards and manufactured in Germany, the V1000 includes GPS tracking and G-force sensors for incident reporting as well as collecting data for other standard tracking features such as live tracking, alerting and service management.
The fully integrated all-in-one camera is said to be gaining significant interest from the insurance industry for its ability to eliminate fraudulent claims.
