HOUSTON, June 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Rowan Companies plc ("Rowan" or the "Company") (NYSE: RDC) reported in a press release issued earlier today that it entered into a three-year contract with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation for the Rowan Resolute, one of four new ultra-deepwater drillships being constructed for Rowan by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd.
The Company would like to provide clarification regarding the effective day rate. The effective day rate in the high $600s as previously reported is between $606,000 and $609,000, including mobilization revenues.
