Sunat Rose More Than Three Times From Previous Month in November

According to the data from Peruvian customs agency Sunat, the imported rebar rose more than three times from previous month to 21,052 metric tons in November.

The country imported 253,056 tons of long products from January to November.

In October, the value was US$4.7 million, compared to US$12.6 million in November.

The major rebar imports are from Turkey with price about US$750/ton CFR basis.

Other steel long product imports also rose significantly. The country imported 4,696 million tons of H-profile, about doubled volume from previous month. The imported drill pipes for oil & gas were 2724 million tons, from 844 million tons in October.
