Tons Lightology Aims to Increase The Total Revenues to 30% in 2013

Tons Lightology, a Taiwan-based commercial LED lighting products maker, aims to increase the proportion of total revenues from own-brand sales from 10% currently to 30% in 2013, according to company chairman Tang Shih-chuan.

Global demand for LED lighting will grow 10-fold over the coming years, Tang indicated. With own-brand LED lighting products sold through three of the five largest retail channels in Europe, Tons has 60% of total revenues coming from the market, and Germany accounts for 70% of this portion, Tang pointed out.

Tons began to promote own-brand sales in Taiwan and China earlier in 2012 and will tap the Japan market in 2013, Tang indicated. In addition, Tons plans to sell LED lighting products under the brand Asun in Japan, India and Brazil.

Tons currently has a factory in southern China and expects revenues of NT$1.2-1.3 billion (US$41.0-44.4 million) for 2012, Tang said. Tons plans to be listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) in the first or second quarter of 2013.
