According to statistics released by the Brazilian foreign trade ministry, Mdic, the country’s imports of seamless steel tubes totaled 13,428 tons in October, soaring by 68% from 7,974 tons in September. In October, China was the largest exporter of seamless steel tubes to Brazil with 7,581 tons, higher than 5,574 tons in September. At the same time, the country’s imports of welded steel pipes totaled 8,025 tons in October, higher than 7,744 tons in a month ago. Uruguay was the largest supplier with 1,247 tons, rising from 1,874 tons in a month earlier.
