Sainsbury's Is Recalling Its Kids Chicken Curry as The Product Contains Wheat

UK-based supermarket chain Sainsbury's is recalling its Kids Chicken Curry as the product contains wheat (gluten) and celery that are not declared on the label.

The UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued an Allergy Alert. Consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of wheat (gluten) or celery have been asked not to eat this product.

The product being recalled is Kids Chicken Curry by Sainsbury's, 225g, with a use by date of up to and including 31 October 2012.

Sainsbury's noted that it has contacted the relevant allergy support organizations, which will inform their at risk members of the recall. In addition, it will display customer notices in stores, explaining the reason behind the recall and the steps customers can take if they have purchased the product.

Consumers who have bought the above product can return it to the local Sainsbury's store for a full refund. No other Sainsbury's products are known to be affected.
